5th/6th Grade Girls Tournament
The 5th/6th Grade Girls Division season culminates in a season ending single elimination tournament. All the teams participate and are seeded based on their point standings achieved during the regular season. Points are awarded during the season as follows:
Win = 3 points Draw = 1 point Loss = 0 points
In the event teams are tied on the basis of points earned, team placement will be determined in accordance with the following sequential criteria:
1) Winner of head to head competition (this criterion not used if more than two teams tied)
2) Winner of most games
3) Goal differential (goals scored minus goals against)
4) Coin toss
The highest seeded team will play the lowest seeded team, the second highest seeded team will play the second lowest seeded team, etc.
All matches follow the regular season format and rules.
In the event that the match is tied at the end of regulation then two five-minute overtime periods will be played. There is no “Golden Goal”.
In the event that the game is tied after the two overtime periods, then the tiebreaker will be a five person per team shootout.
- The players on the field at the end of overtime shall comprise the initial shooters.
- The goalie at the end of the game must be the goalie for the shootout.
- If still tied after the first five shooters, then the shootout will continue as teams alternate shots in a sudden-death fashion.
- No shooter can shoot again until all players on a team have shot at least once.
- If a team uses all it's players then the coach can use any player to take the next PK.
Suspended Game Rule: If a game is suspended due to bad weather, etc.:

If suspended in the first half, even if one team is ahead, game is to pick up from the point of interruption unless coaches agree to end.

If suspended at half time or beyond, the game is over. If the score is tied when the game is suspended, then the game ends in a tie and will be replayed. If one team is ahead when the game is suspended, then that team is the winner.
