Presidents Message

Greetings members,

I hope you are all having a great Fall season! We’ve had a terrific start to the year and long may it continue.

At the club we are working tirelessly to provide all our members the best experience possible year-round and having 70 degrees outside has certainly been a big help to achieving that. But aside from the beautiful weather what really makes our programs truly tick are the volunteers and I want to recognize that with this message.

Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to offer the depth and quality of programming that we currently do. We are a unique club that is powered by unique people. Our volunteers are the kind of people that are willing to go that extra step not for themselves but for the participants. Whether you are a Parent Coach in our Travel or Rec programs, a Soccer Buddy helping our special needs kids, or you’re a parent driving your kids to practice every week... Whatever you do to aid the participation of players within our programs, on behalf of the club and all its members I want to thank you. We appreciate you but most of all the kids appreciate you and at the end of the day, they are what it’s all about so keep up the great work!

Inevitably at some point the winter months will arrive sooner than we would like but fear not, we have all your soccer needs covered for the entire winter season...

Our Program Directors have again been working extremely hard to get our Winter schedule prepared and we are all but ready to open registrations. As soon as programs are open be sure to act quickly and sign up as spots are limited due to the size of the indoor spaces that we use. All the details will be on our website under “Winter Programs” and we’ll also be sending out an email to our members shortly.

If you have any questions about any of the Winter programs we can help you solve these problems. Please feel free to get in touch with any of our Program Directors and they’ll be happy to assist.

Before I wrap this up I want to offer my congratulations to the Westfield High School soccer teams. Our JV Boys, JV Girls, Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls all advanced to the Union County Conference Semi Finals to be played over the weekend of October 19th and 20th. On behalf of the Association we want to wish them all the very best of luck!

And finally, our final two General Meetings for 2019 have been set for October 22nd and December 2nd. You don’t have to be a coach to attend these meetings so if you’re able to come down we’ll be glad to see you.

All the best for the rest of the Fall and I’ll catch up with you again real soon!
