Well, we have our first tournament under our belt, and I think the boys really enjoyed it.  I know I did.  The shirts came out great, and without a doubt, the colored hairspray was a big hit (thankful to see mine came out fairly easily in the shower).   

The first half of that first game was some of the best I’ve seen the boys play all season.  Going into the half only down 1-0 was a very, very big accomplishment.  We just hit a run of bad luck in the second half and leaked a few goals.  We put up a very tough challenge against a team that has mostly rolled over it’s opponents this season.

The second game was a very even matchup.  We were in their end almost the entire first half, and I just can’t believe we didn’t put one in.  I think the boys have been so used to dribbling to get it out of their end that they just didn’t know what to do when they got so close to the opponent’s goal!  You could tell in the second half, we were getting a bit tired.  While the game ended in a 0-0 tie, I really think Brendan was unlucky to not be awarded penalty in the closing seconds when he was absolutely CLOBBERED after he’d slipped it by the last defender and was free on goal.

Like Brady says, "when’s the next tournament?"  Oh my....
