Westfield Soccer Summer Camp
Ages 6-14 (Boys and Girls)
Session One: July 18 to July 22
Session Two: August 1 to August 5
In an effort to continue its mission of soccer education the Westfield Soccer Association (Club) is pleased to announce the formation of two summer training camps that will be offered for the weeks of July 18 and August 1. These camps will be open to all area families who wish to enroll their child or children in the camp. The camps will be run by our current WSA and FC Premier coaches who, with along with qualified trainers from BRASA and BFUT and local High School coaches, will provide an excellent environment to learn the game and to enjoy the summer in a positive, productive way. Eduardo Andriatti, Yvette Cepiel, Sandro Dos Santos and Tony Perfilio will create the camp curriculum and be the hands on trainers at each and every session.
Westfield Soccer Summer Camp Philosophy
- We believe that the player should have as much contact with the ball as possible.
- Ball contact is the only way to become comfortable and to develop foot skills.
- We believe that the player should be exposed to game scenarios during training, which will enable them to make quick decisions during matches.
- Development of speed of thought and improvisation; the players need to have freedom to create and learn from the mistakes, and by all means to have fun.
- The game is the best teacher.
Our goal is not to create professional players, but to educate players and share our passion for the game while developing each child into the best soccer player that he or she can be.

Lady Blue Devil Camp
Grades 3-9 (Girls only)
July 11-15
In addition to camps run by the WSA we also recommend the Lady Blue Devil Soccer camp for girls in grades 3-9 offered by current Westfield High School coach Alex Schmidt. Coach Schmidt’s camps offer strong technical sessions and add in classroom activities that help produce soccer intelligence as well as leadership skills.
Lady Blue Devil Soccer Camp will be held at Roosevelt Intermediate School in Westfield, NJ. The camp will run for five consecutive days: Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15.
Lady Blue Devil Camp Philosophy
Our philosophy behind these camps is threefold: first to expose players to the techniques and tactics that have helped the Lady Blue Devil Soccer players to become consistently some of the most competitive players in the state. Secondly, to expose young players to the wonderful role models that have played at the Westfield High School varsity level, collegiate level, and professional level. Finally we want all campers to enjoy themselves and to have fun.

Lady Blue Devil High School Prep Camp

Our Goal: The Lady Blue Devil Prep Camp’s main goal is to give each player insight about the importance of accountability and its role in creating athletic greatness. Each player in our program has choices to make about how good they are going to be. How players approach the upcoming High School season will determine their success. Players will leave the camp feeling more prepared and confident.
All campers will leave with an individualized evaluation. This evaluation will help the player focus on the things they do well and the things they will need to improve upon over the summer. Our staff will try and provide insight into the tryout process come August and guide the players to help them achieve their maximum potential when it matters most.
Training Focus: Players will be trained on exercises that are at the foundation of the WHS program. The WHS soccer staff believes that "the game is the best teacher."
