D3 Final Four
FC & WSA Veterans represent

Westfield soccer and FC Premier were well represented this fall, as a number of our former players and their respective teams earned their stripes in the NCAA round of 16. Hannah Kronick and Emily Nogurney represented Johns Hopkins University and Claire Bennett represented Amherst College as the two powerhouse teams met each other in the round of 16. Amherst came away the victor with a 2-0 win. Amherst went on to play Messiah in the round of 8 and lost a tough match dropping a 3-1 decision to Messiah. On the other side of the bracket, Grace Mckenzie’s high powered Wheaton team entered the round of 16  and produced a substantial win with a 4-1 win over University of Wisconsin Whitewater. The next night Wheaton College battled Washington University St. Louis. After finding themselves down 2-0 with 17 minutes left in the game, Wheaton scored 3 goals in 3 three minutes and ultimately won 4-2 to earn themselves a spot in the NCAA D3 final four in San Antonio Texas Dec 2-4.

NJYS State Cup Update
FC Premier Red Devils move to Semi-Finals; FC Premier Cosmos fall to East Brunswick in the Quarter Finals

We wish Sean Kiernan good luck as he takes our U13B FC Premier Red Devils team to the Wall Soccer Complex this Saturday to compete in the NJYS State Cup Semi-Finals against Ocean Lightning at 1pm

Both the Red Devils and the U12B FCP Cosmos competed last week in the quarter finals, the 13’s advanced but unfortunately the 12’s lost their game in the 1/4 finals.  Below is a synopsis of the game from one of the team managers:

FCP Cosmos went to face last year’s state cup winner East Brunswick in their quarterfinal match in east Brunswick. Mid way through the first half FCP penetrated and one of our players was taken down in the box for the penalty kick. FCP delivered on the kick and took a 1-0 lead into half time. Midway through the second half we won a hard tackle in their half. One of our players was injured and needed to come off. The referee awarded a drop kick. The EB player drove the ball into our box. One of the EB players went after our players in the box and immediately won the ball. Our player took their attacker down in the box and EB was awarded a pk. Very tough break. A few minutes later EB stuck a nice a ball in as we found ourselves on our heals with some of our key players out with injury. We regained our focus for the last 15 minutes and hammered them with balls off the post, etc. However, a little too late and we ran out of time. Score ended 2-1.

Where Are They Now?
There are many FC players both male & female, who continue to play in college. We will continue to update our site upon gathering more player information. For now, below are some examples of our past players and "where they are now".

Hopkins and TCNJ were both undefeated as of yesterday, last night Hopkins beat TCNJ 1-0  Goal for Hopkins scored by Hannah Kronick!
